Chapter 148: Bulk Sales

The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps was short on Essence Gold.

They had gotten some from Mystifying Monster Island. But they had used it up already, and to link together the Bloodline Purification formation, they needed a lot of Essence Gold!

“One small box of Essence Gold starts at a price of 1,500 gold. Every price raise must be at least 100 gold, now let the auction begin.” The auction master yelled with a heart filled with expectations.

Everyone was ready, this was bound to be a lively auction.

But before anyone could respond, Zi Di immediately bid, “2,000 gold!”

The large hall was silent for a moment, everyone was awed by Zi DI’s bid.

A 500 gold increase in a split second.

But room 1 followed up, “2,100 gold.”

Zi Di sneered, “3,000 gold!”

Instantly raising the price by 900 gold was simply deranged!

Every interested buyers’ eyes shrank.

“Who is in room 21? How are they so vicious?!”

“Are we going to stake it all? After all, it is room 21.”

“To speak plainly, 3000 gold to buy this box of Essence Gold is not a losing transaction. When the market price is bad, it will be profitable.”

A few buyers weren’t intimidated and still wanted to compete.

In the prior section, Zi Di had snapped up many of their targets, thus they still had a lot of money on hand.

However just as they wanted to bid, they heard Zi Di’s voice again, “3,500 gold!!”

They actually raised the price on themselves?

The buyers went rigid, and those with ample sense realized room 21 was determined to have this box, as well as their frightening strength.

Under such a high price, they were forced to give up.

The Essence Gold was efficiently won by Zi Di.

“Who can suppress room 21?” The buyers whispered to each other.

Zi Di’s ferocious performance shattered many hopes.

The hall was filled with pessimism.

Many people began to genuinely think no one could withstand room 21.

Soon after, the Essence Gold was delivered to room 21.

After paying the gold coins, Zi Di stuffed the small wooden box into the Ballon Knapsack.

The latter was already bouncing and floating in the air, and thanks to this treasure, the things they purchased could be conveniently transported.

The bulk sales’ climax didn’t stop at this.

Not long after, a small sensation once again broke out in the auction hall.

“Profound Gold!”

“Are my eyes deceiving me?”

“I didn’t expect to see Profound Gold in this auction!”

“Why wasn’t it on the item list?”

“It’s obvious that this was a special item inserted during the auction!”

Everyone conversed as their fervent eyes sized up the small pile of Profound Gold on stage.

Profound Gold was a type of metal alloy, while Essence Gold came from a natural vein of ore. This was the biggest difference between them.

In terms of price, Profound Gold was more expensive than Essence Gold, it was classified as a high level alchemy material.

This was mainly because the main way to refine Profound Gold was to combine Essence Gold, profound spell crystals, and other materials together instead of just smelting it.

Zi Di’s eyes were instantly attracted to it.

“I want that.” She vocalized.

Upon hearing her voice, every buyer grew discolored.

Many people were indignant, but even more were ashen with defeat.

“What terrible luck to come across such an opponent.” They sighed to themselves.

“Room 21 has their eyes on that Profound Gold, it’s theirs.” Many people chose to immediately give up.

Finally, the auction outcome came to pass.

Zi Di once again use her strong wealth to seize the box of Profound Gold.

Hun Tong looked a bit off.

He projected that this Profound Gold would have sold at a higher price. But in reality, since no one was confident they could contest room 21, many people opted out of the rat race to instead watch passively from the sidelines.

Hun Tong was somewhat remorseful that he didn’t suppress room 21 and allowed them to dictate the climate. The other’s existence had influenced the auction’s income.

However, he was also somewhat glad.

This was the last part of the auction, and the other party’s influence did not affect the big picture.

In addition, the two people inside room 21 were room 2’s prey, their conclusion would be ruinous.

Hun Tong didn’t need act himself.

“Although this somewhat effects profits, they have bid many times, wantonly spilled coin, and gave me more revenue than losses.”

When thinking of that, Hun Tong’s heart felt relieved.

He could scarcely realize that the money Zi Di and Cang Xu were spending at this auction had been stolen from Two Eyes Island.

Zi Di continued to act, purchasing large amounts of alchemy materials. Such as Granite Extract, Obsidian Extract, and all kinds of coral.

Two Eyes Island was a Coral Ball Cage Tree, and its coral was also considered to be a unique local product.

The fly in the ointment was that this auction was mainly of metal and ore, while flesh type alchemy materials were sparse, and wood type alchemy materials were just as rare.

This shortfall needed to be patched up in the future.

Zi Di didn’t have extravagant demands.

In fact, she was very grateful that Hun Tong had held this auction. Although she lost some gold coins, the survivors had saved incalculable time and energy.

If they missed this opportunity, they might spend even longer and even more money searching for these materials in the vast ocean, and likely not even collect enough.

The ocean had abundant resources in fact, but humans couldn’t extract them easily.

After all, humans could not breath underwater.

On top of that, the Sheng Ming Empire was invading the Beast Race Continent, and the main part of the empire’s forces was not on the ocean, but rather in the Wilderness Continent.

Therefore, something like Two Eyes Island’s auction was hard to come by.

The flaunting auction master took in a breath, “Honorable friends, time passed at lightning speed, and in but a flash, this auction has reached its final segment.”

“I believe that this segment is also one of the most awaited, it is the slave auction!”

“Please meticulously prepare for our first item.”

After saying this, a fighter pulled a rope tied to a female elf.

She was an adult woman and had the delicate and beautiful complexion distinctive to elves. She had few clothes on, it was obvious she had been intentionally dressed to expose all of the right parts of her that exhibited and protruded her graceful beauty as much as possible.

Despite being tied up and forced to stagged forwards, the elf held her head high and looked down at the audience, her eyes transmitting her intense hatred.

The buyers were all looking at her and whispering to each other.

“It really is an elf, and those features, she’s truly beautiful.”

“It is said that when she was captured, many experts were lost.”

“Although she is iron level, her archery is very good. If she hadn’t been stupid enough to come back to rescue her clanmates, she wouldn’t have fallen into a trap.”

Hearsay on this elf was already known by everyone.

Hun Tong had deliberately disseminated it, another way he was preparing for the auction.

When some buyers saw the elf proudly looking hateful, they frowned and muttered, “It seems she hasn’t been trained well.”

“But if that is so, won’t that bring a greater sense of achievement when I train and conquer her with my own hands?” Some buyers grew more interested.

The auction master continued to present her.

The buyers weren’t worried the elf couldn’t be controlled, she had been bound with a slave contract and any buyer could control her life or death.

But if one wanted her to be obedient, that would depend on how a buyer trained her.

“I have to say, this training will be a pleasure, am I right?” The auction master aroused the cravings of many buyers.

Some people couldn’t help but giggle with dark intentions.

When the elf heard this laughter and felt innumerable hungry eyes looking at her, she panicked a little, however she covered it up with more hatred.

The auction began.

The bids rose and fell ceaselessly in the ears.

Hun Tong watched this with satisfaction.

This elf had been specially chosen by him and was the most enticing thing in this final part of the auction.

His diligent arrangements had received a fine result, the auction price quickly exceeded 1,000 gold and was still trending upwards.

The only thing that worried Hun Tong was that room 21 would intervene and suppress this wave of enthusiastic bids.

But all the way until the winner was decided, room 21 never acted.

The elf was only iron level, and to the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps, they did not lack this kind of military strength.

She wasn’t easy to train, and elven arrogance caused her to look down on the dragonman youngster’s race, and becoming a captive caused her to be even more resentful to humans.

The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps did not need this kind of internal instability, while simultaneously not having the energy to harmonize the hatred and vengeful feelings in the elf’s heart.

As for Cang Xu and Zi Di, as believers in life and advocates of nature, elves were more so the mortal enemies of necromancers. It was utterly unnecessary to spend lots of money to recruit an enemy into their ranks.

In the end, the elf was sold for 1,450 gold.

This price was above the market price for iron level slaves, but the victor felt high and mighty, they felt wonderful and devoid of worry.

The losers sighed regretfully.

But soon after, their regret once again turned into hope.

Because the second item was an equal match to that elf.

She was a female beastman that had a petite stature, an adorable appearance, long cat ears, and a cat tail.

The auction hall thoughtfully dressed her with a customized maid outfit of coordinated monochrome, while also fastening a small copper bell to her nape.

The female beastman wasn’t shackled, and she was cutely standing motionlessly, it was obviously she had been trained well.

The cat girl maid let to a surge of panicked bids.

Once again, it triggered an upsurge of competition.

Zi Di still hadn’t acted.

Although this maid was iron level, she hand no battle skill. She was merchandise specially trained by some big slave merchants for great lords and imperial higherups.

As for why she was reduced to being here?

It was very simple.

An imperial higherup had the misfortune of being robbed, and this maid had become a pirate’s spoil of war.

The plunderers were none other than the Ten Touch Pirates.

The maid was finally sold for 1,300 gold, a bit lower than the elf, but it still surpassed the market price for iron level slaves.

It had to be said that there were a lot of rich people.

Sexual interest was one of the driving forces of the market.

Almost everyone on Two Eyes Island were pragmatic people, and regardless of whether it was a female elf or a cat girl maid, both were “practical”.

“The third slave is the only silver level at this auction!” The auction master introduced them, “He is a steady man, a heavy gunner, Chi Lai!”
