Chapter 247: Weeping Pine Naval Battle – Part 6

The White Bandage.

The dragonman youngster was standing on the pole inclining from the ship’s bow, his strong and tenacious red dragon scales welcoming the sea breeze, revealing his mass and vigor.

He raised a telescope and surveyed the Iron Lump.

Zong Ge was standing on top of the aft house.

Sailors were bustling across the ship, two battle squads were hidden on standby, with no one knowing where they were.

Numerous cannons had already poked their barrels out; a number of dark green cannon mouths looked like the sharp toothed maw of a gigantic beast.

Unlike the two other sides, the last participant of this battlefield, the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps, had entered in peak condition.

But the dragonman youngster was solemn, because he knew that they only looked the strongest, it wasn’t truly the case.

The gold level necromancer Jian Gui hadn’t acted yet, and the coalition of three pirate groups was also a formidable opponent.

“Move, it’s the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps!” On Weeping Pine Island, Ku Feng saw the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ flag, and once again carried Xiao Wang Zi by the nape and retreated deeper into the pine forest.

“I once associated with them for a time.”

“This mercenary corps’ backer is very strong; they are rumored to be arms smugglers.”

“Their commander and auxiliary commander are not ordinary silver levels. The auxiliary commander Shi Qi already has a gold luster to his silver battle qi and Commander Long Fu is even stronger than him.”

“During the battle for Two Eyes Island, no one of the same level could withstand him. He was even able to fight Er Gua Zi directly and was only a bit weaker than him.”

Ku Feng explained this to Xiao Wang Zi while also transmitting it through a communication device to inform the other necromancers, including the newcomer, the one time participant of the undead gathering, Cang Xu.

“The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps…they still came!” Yang Cong Tou’s brows deeply wrinkled.

The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps was undoubtably a powerful enemy.

Dian Wan was even more anxious.

Because according to the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ course, they would be the first to meet them.

It wasn’t that Dian Wan didn’t want to withdraw and get away from the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps, rather it was because they were entangled with the undead three headed sea serpent and the water ghost army and unable to free themselves.

“Fire the cannons at me, fire the cannons at me!” Dian Wan clenched his teeth, roaring with firm resolve.

He jumped into the ocean and decided to face his own cannons.

The first mate followed up by yelling, “Do as the commander says!”

Bang, bang!

Two cannons fired, shooting two electric net shells that detonated above Dian Wan, one on top of the other.

The two electric nets that exploded out directly fell on Dian Wan’s body.

Dian Wan summoned all of his battle qi to withstand the two layers of electric nets.

Dian Wan’s skin quickly burned black and emitted the cooked smell of roasted meat.

Dian Wan shuddered fiercely all over, his head fell to his waist, he kept himself from dying and fainting.

He managed to endure the most difficult phase.

After slowly breathing out, he immediately used his battle qi to absorb all of the electrical currents into his body.

His cultivation was the Electrocution battle qi technique, and this battle qi technique’s philosophy was cultivation through pain. During normal cultivation, he would touch an electric current constantly and be shocked by it at his own accord, using the electric current traveling through his muscles and internals to stimulate his body and produce battle qi.

Normal cultivation was very painful, and at this time, Dian Wan used a secret technique, but the theory came from the same place.

It was all based on electric current stimulation, through this massive suffering, one could attain some cultivation goal.

Two electric nets was Dian Wan’s limit.

The pursuit of the Iron Lump, along with fighting the undead three headed sea serpent and the water ghost army had depleted his battle qi reserves to less than 30%.

But through this electric shock, his potential was stimulated to the utmost and his battle qi quickly recovered to 85%. At the same time, his offense, defense, and speed were also amplified immensely.

“It really hurts!” Dian Wan slowly raised his head and extended arms that were now twice their size across his chest.

Then he looked up, and with a shake of his arms, tore the two electric nets sparking weakly to shreds.

Dian Wan’s chest was exposed, his entire being had swelled, his muscles looked like marble lumps, and his full head of sharp blue hair stood up perfectly straight like steel needles, the space between each hair tip sparked with electricity.

Dian Wan’s eyes were pitch black, with only his azure pupils shooting out glaring electric light.

Dian Wan at this moment had reached the summit of his military power!

Bang.

He took a step on the ocean surface, then suddenly disappeared.

Dian Wan had become a bolt of lightning that ferociously slammed into the undead three headed serpent’s abdomen.

The undead three headed serpent looked like a locomotive being knocked off its tracks as its entire serpent body was thrown off the Electric Net Fisher.

The three snake heads then reacted, facing towards their own abdomen as they opened their mouths to unleash their formidable racial magic.

Dian Wan roared and used a battle skill.

After both of them collided, a gigantic explosion occurred.

The undead three headed serpent was blown into the ocean, with a gigantic hole in its abdomen.

Dian Wan panted from the top of his flagship’s aft house, watching as undead three headed serpent fell into the water, his complexion pale and his swollen body shrinking somewhat.

“Generalissimo!” Xiao Wang Zi lamented from his hiding place on the island.

He could sense the undead three headed serpent’s injury was big.

Of course, it could still fight.

But Xiao Wang Zi didn’t want risk his generalissimo anymore.

Xiao Wang Zi used his spirit connection to order the undead three headed serpent to retreat immediately.

The later had no retorts, it didn’t have a living being’s battle intent, it was an ice-cold machine that swam back to Weeping Pine Island after receiving the order.

Dian Wan then fought the water ghost army, causing great damage to the latter.

His battle qi mixed with electricity, increasing its destructive power against ghosts greatly.

In response to this, magician Qi Ling also commanded her water ghost army to retreat.

The water ghosts were nimble and conventional physical barriers were nothing to them, so they quickly vanished completely, as if they were never there.

But the Lightning Pirates’ sinking ships and dead pirates everywhere proved their horror.

“We won?”

“Finally, we beat back those wretched undead!”

“Boo hoo hoo, I thought my death was for certain.”

“It was all thanks to our captain, Captain Dian Wan’s power!!”

Dian Wan strived to ease his aura, then he hastily ordered, “We are leaving now, the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps is coming!”

The pirates’ cheers came to a sudden stop.

They really were in a miserable situation.

After two veteran silver level necromancers had devastated and bullied them, they would now be greeting the formidable Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps.

The pirates were all nervous, they weren’t able to breath during these successive operations.

The first mate stood next to Dian Wan’s side, looking at the latter with concern.

The latter’s fist was faintly trembling, but he was still standing straight like a rifle!

He gazed at the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps with rapt attention; his heart filled with bitterness.

It was too late to do anything.

Dian Wan didn’t want to fight, the Lightning Pirates had already lost enough people.

But setting sail now, their speed wouldn’t be faster than the mercenary corps’ fleet.

“Prepare for battle!” Dian Wan then ordered, tenaciously looking at the approaching enemy.

But the first mate’s opinion was different from his, “Commander, the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps might not be coming for us.”

At almost the same time, the dragonman youngster ordered, “Go around, avoid the Lightning Pirates.”

A moment later, the flagship, the White Bandage, slightly changed its route and so did the ships following behind it.

They were like a sharp blade that that cut at an angle that was some distance from the Lightning Pirates.

Next to Dian Wan, the first mate’s eyes flashed sharply, “Our prior investigation said that the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps have the dwarf Men Shi. It seems they absorbed this silver level dwarf into their ranks.”

“The Iron Lump has many dwarf prisoners, all Men Shi’s clansmen.”

“Therefore, the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ most important goal is not us pirates, but the Iron Lump.”

“Commander Long Fu wants to rescue those dwarfs!”

Dian Wan had a realization, “So that’s how it is.”

But just as he let out a breath, he saw the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ ships open up with sudden puffs of white smoke.

Both Dian Wan’s and the first mate’s eyes contracted fiercely, roaring one after the other, “A bombardment, take evasion action now!”

Although the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps had intentionally gone around the Lightning Pirates, they didn’t let them off completely.

The Lightning Pirates’ ships were all bunched up while the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ ships formed a line, perfect for a broadside against the Lightning Pirates.

Under normal circumstances, ships had most of their cannons arranged on the sides of their hulls, thus these sides had the strongest firepower, while the bow and the aft had the weakest.

The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps didn’t lack cannons.

They used to, but after the battle of Two Eyes Island, they had recuperated and were able to make a deal with Hun Tong and were backed full with ordinary cannons.

The densely packed cannons seemed to create a rain of cannonballs that indifferently and mercilessly overshadowed the Lighting Pirates.

Bang, bang, bang…

The continuous explosions added insult to injury to the Lighting Pirates, instantly increasing their casualties dramatically.

Dian Wan howled.

The first mate held his head, burying himself behind the cover in the back, doing his best to curl up himself.

Suddenly, an artillery shell struck near them.

It was a silver level artillery shell!

The artillery shell exploded, knocking the first made unconscious, blowing a massive hole into the Electric Net Fisher, and flinging Dian Wan three meters away.

The shooter was Chi Lai.

Although he saw Dian Wan flying away, he quickly stood up and sighed regretfully.

In front of him was an ordinary cannon, it had blown up and was utterly destroyed, unable to stand another of his shots.

“If this was the gold level cannon, then the entire Electric Net Fisher would be gone!” Chi Lai began to reminisce.

During the battle for Two Eyes Island, he fired the gold level cannon once.

That profound and invigorating feeling was something he found hard to forget.

“Captain Dian Wan, how are you?” The troubled pirates asked.

“It’s nothing!” Dian Wan stood back up, but his back was filled with blood.

“Cough, cough, cough.” He suddenly coughed intensely, his complexion growing even whiter.

But he knew he couldn’t fall; he had to grind his teeth and persevere.

At that moment, Lady Sea Snake’s voice came from a communication device, “Captain Dian Wan, please have your group impede the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps as much as possible!”

Dian Wan blankly stared, then cursed without restraint, “Fuck your mother with your impediment!”

The Lighting Pirates had suffered disastrous damage, and Dian Wan soon ordered them to all retreat.

The Lightning Pirates were the first to retreat from the battlefield.
