Chapter 208: Give Long Fu Your All

Hong Zhu wanted to cry but had no tears.

She had helped Cang Xu fight Ya Ma and Yue Ban because she thought him a big customer.

She never expected that he was actually a necromancer!

The moment Cang Xu revealed who he really was, Hong Zhu went completely numb.

“I’m in trouble.”

“So much trouble!”

“No matter if they live or die, I will be investigated.”

“Collaborating with a necromancer?”

“Gods above, I am wrongly accused!!”

“That won’t do, I have to hide!”

Hong Zhu was very remorseful.

If she had known this was how things ended, she wouldn’t have helped Cang Xu even if she was beaten to death.

This auction had given her more than enough funds to prepare for her next adventure.

But now, that adventure had to be shelved, for she had to first flee the limelight.

“Don’t leave!”

“Stop!!”

Men Shi shouted.

He ran with his short legs rapidly across the ground, attempting to chase after Cang Xu and Qing Xin.

The silver level dwarf had been on the ship but left to look for a chance to repay the dragonman youngster’s kindness.

As a result, not only did he not find a chance to repay his debt of gratitude, he also saw who Cang Xu really was.

He had been stupefied.

Now seeing Cang Xu flying towards the Iron Lump, he seemed to be struck my electricity.

Because his clansmen were still on that ship!

Men Shi was very anxious and wanted to save his clansmen from the necromancer.

But he wasn’t that fast, and when his pursuit reached the coast, he could only look onwards helplessly as Cang Xu and Qing Xin landed on the Iron Lump.

The alchemy puppets on the Iron Lump were under Cang Xu’s control.

The people all knew what Cang Xu really was.

But Qing Xin immediately placated the blond mother and child and told that that although Cang Xu was a necromancer, he was still deserving of trust.

The dwarfs were restless.

Cang Xu promptly stated that he wouldn’t harm them.

This statement didn’t do much.

The dwarfs began to become threatening.

Cang Xu immediately turned hostile and coldly snorted, “Dwarfs, look at your relatives next to you, your old parents, your young children.”

“I hope you aren’t impulsive.”

“It would be an easy thing for me to kill you all!”

Cang Xu’s “true” silver level aura and the many ghosts emerging throughout the ship added to his might.

The dwarfs felt threatened, and a number of them indignantly and furiously glared at Cang Xu, their necks flushed red with anger.

But in the end, they didn’t do anything drastic.

Cang Xu let out a breath, and had an alchemy puppet escort these dwarfs into the hold of the ship.

After finishing this, he immediately drove the magic ship away from Two Eyes Island.

“What? We’re retreating?” Xi Dai Zi and the others had received the naga priestess’ order.

Xi Dai Zi had been involved with the Devil Gold Coin affair.

The upending of the Golden Flash had caused Xi Dai Zi to guess that Hun Tong was affected by the coins.

The situation was great, why were they retreating?

Xi Dai Zi was very puzzled.

“Boss, you have to decide!” Xi Dai Zi communicated with Er Gua Zi.

Er Gua Zi was fighting Song Shou.

He had been “shown consideration” by the Golden Flash’s last bombardment.

Song Shou had been fired at a few times, but it didn’t harm him in the slightest.

Compared to the main light cannon, the light net bombardment didn’t threaten gold levels.

But with their side’s trump card being reduced to an enemy thug, Song Shou’s fighting spirit had slumped, thus, he stopped blocking and was mainly evading.

Er Gua Zi glanced up at the Golden Flash.

High in the air, Yan Ding was riding a black cloud and besieging the Golden Flash

On the Golden Flash, the old clan elder and Hun Tong’s alchemy clone were vigorously defending.

Both sides were deadlocked.

Suddenly, Yan Ding was struck by the old fishman elder’s battle skill, and he seemed to crumble like smoke.

“A fake!”

“Where is the real one?”

Yan Ding feinted, and a moment later, smoke condensed into a human form on the port battlefield

It was Yan Ding’s real body.

“Song Shou!” Yan Ding shouted, “We fight together.”

“The Golden Flash cannot fall into enemy hands.”

“Otherwise, not even I can escape into the vast ocean.”

“If Hun Tong dies in battle, we’ll split the Golden Flash equally!”

Song Shou sighed, and immediately responded, “Carry me up!”

Black smoke curled up and lifted Song Shou into the sky.

Er Gua Zi attacked, but Yan Ding stopped him.

He didn’t have a flying battle skill.

After a few rounds against each other, Song Shou had reached an altitude where Er Gua Zi could only look onwards helplessly.

“Xi Dai Zi, send me up!” Er Gua Zi yelled, “Take the others away!”

At this crucial juncture, Er Gua Zi decided to help the old fishman elder alone, and had the others evacuate the island.

Because the naga priestess’ order caused him to misjudge the situation.

They were winning, yet the naga priestess had commanded a withdrawal.

She must have realized the enemy had another trump card!

Er Gua Zi didn’t want his clansmen and subordinates to sacrifice themselves in vain.

Too many fishmen had sacrificed themselves in the battle already.

The fishmen corpses left on the port battlefield could be piled into a small mountain.

But Er Gua Zi was unreconciled and wouldn’t give up this amazing opportunity.

He would rather take a risk and wanted to see what the enemy’s trump card was!

Xi Dai Zi expressed his difficulties, “Boss, I don’t have magic that can send you up there.”

“Then use the water cannon!” Er Gua Zi was very resolute.

Since Song Shou had left already, Er Gua Zi quickly converged with Xi Dai Zi and the others.

Bang.

The Vinegar Jar opened fire once again.

A pillar of water rammed into Er Gua Zi, forcing him high into the air.

After Cang Xu withdrew, the dragonman youngster and the others immediately rushed to the port.

Upon hearing the cannon fire, they all raised their heads at the sky and saw Er Gua Zi flying out of the water cannon, coughing up blood throughout the trip as he dashed up bravely with no thoughts to his safety.

He was a fishman, not a dragonman, and his fish scales were far less defensive than dragon scales.

However, setting aside that they were enemies, the fishmen didn’t lack firm determination.

“The flying magic ship has become the gold levels’ final battlefield!” The dragonman youngster sighed.

“We cannot interfere there.” Zong Ge coldly replied.

Chi Lai then said, “As long as we find the gold cannon, perhaps I can still shoot it, and injure the flagship.”

The gold level cannon needed a massive amount of energy.

Last time, a magic formation had stored up a lot of energy.

But if it was just Chi Lai shooting by his lonesome, he needed to imbue it with all of his battle qi, a terrible consumption.

After all, Chi Lai was just a silver level fighter.

The Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps’ ship also had been sunk by the Vinegar Jar, and the gold cannon had subsequently fallen to the seafloor.

Chi Lai had been involved and knew what had happened.

The gold cannon really had been damaged somewhat.

But how specifically was unknown, if they found it and got an artillery shell, perhaps they could still fire it!

It wasn’t an ordinary cannon, and gunpowder wasn’t used to give it motive power. Therefore, dampness wouldn’t impede it at all.

The dragonman youngster and Zong Ge had returned to the port to salvage the cannon.

However, this was merely a pretense.

Their true goal was to dive into the water, get into the Deep Sea Monster Fish, and converge with Zi Di to protect their rear!

The dragonman youngster ordered, “Chi Lai, do your best to rest. Don’t enter the water, recover as much battle qi as possible, we’ll dredge up the cannon for you.”

“Di Bi, inspect the ships at port now, we need sea worthy ships.”

“We need to prepare for two things. One is a continued battle with the enemy and the other is looking for a way to retreat.”

The Dragon Lion mercenaries loudly complied.

“Wait for me.” Just as the dragonman youngster and Zong Ge wanted to dive in, Men Shi ran over.

“Commander Long Fu!” Men Shi panted as he pleaded, “Help me!”

“My clansmen are being held captive by that wretched necromancer.”

“Help me, I….I don’t have any other options!”

Men Shi was self-aware.

He knew that he couldn’t overtake the Iron Lump by swimming. It was also likely that while in the ocean, he would be sniped by magic.

There also wasn’t just a silver level necromancer, there was also Qing Xin.

He had paced back and forth on the coast, fretfully indignant, exasperated, and powerless.

He could do nothing but watch on helplessly as the Iron Lump grew farther away.

Then he quickly noticed the dragonman youngster was leading the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps back to the port.

Song Shou and Er Gua Zi were charging towards the Golden Flash, leaving the port deserted.

It was just as Men Shi had said – he was out of options.

Therefore, he could only ask the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps for help.

With the latter’s help, he could have a little faith.

The dragonman youngster and Zong Ge glanced at each other.

The dragonman youngster raised his head and sincerely sighed, “Everything is a mess.”

Immediately after, he clapped Men Shi’s shoulder, “Men Shi, don’t worry too much. Since that necromancer hasn’t slaughtered your clansmen, perhaps he is treating them as his hostages. For now, at least, they are still safe.”

“We will help you, let us fight alongside each other once again!”

Men Shi was very moved, he wanted to say something in thanks, but the words couldn’t leave his mouth.

He was an honest man, and emotionally reserved, usually not expressing them.

He could only choke out sobs as his mind surged.

True sentiments are seen in hard times!

The dragonman youngster agreeing to help was him providing help in Men Shi’s hour of need.

“Your kindness has become even greater. How can I recompense such kindness?” Men Shi’s heart was filled with vexation.

“Now is not the time to address that, the most important thing is saving your clansmen.”

“At worst, from now on, I will join the Dragon Lion Mercenary Corps and give my all to Long Fu to repay his grace.” Men Shi said to himself.

The dragonman youngster adjusted his plan.

He had Men Shi guard Chi Lai.

While he and Zong Ge prioritized retrieving the gold cannon.

After returning, they would embark together on a ship to pursue the Iron Lump and wait for an opportunity to attack the flying magic ship.

A dispute broke out on the Vinegar Jar.

Peng Ding Zi roared, “The situation is in our favor, why are we withdrawing?!”

“It was the Lord Priestess’ direct order, don’t be deceived by the facade before you.” Xi Dai Zi was cold.

“The commander has also ordered us to withdraw immediately.”

As a matter of fact, Xi Dai Zi was also doubtful of the naga priestess’ order for a time.

If he still had battle strength, Xi Dai Zi might have disobeyed and firmly remain on the battlefield, waiting for an opportunity to aid his clan elder and commander.

The fishmen had paid too high a price.

No fishman was willing to retreat now!

But Xi Dai Zi was in a terrible state.

His ears were buzzing, he was dizzy, and he was barely able to control the Vinegar Jar.

Under these conditions, Xi Dai Zi knew the heavy responsibility on him, and also knew he had no choice but to obey and lead the fishmen’s retreat.
