Chapter 202: Bombardment of the Golden Flash (Part 1)

As he looked at Hun Tong, the fishman elder was momentarily speechless.

The agreement’s power had been unleashed, causing Hun Tong to put his enemy’s needs before all else.

The agreement’s effects on more neutral parties like Zi Di and Cang Xu was not as bad. But when it was applied to an enemy, it was catastrophic for the person affected!

“If after the war, Hun Tong is still alive, and the agreement’s power dissipates, he will consider himself the greatest undiscovered traitor in his recollections, he would be the main culprit of losing the war, would he die of shame then?” The old fishman elder couldn’t help but think.

Ignoring that they were old enemies, the fishman elder actually admired Hun Tong.

The fishman elder could also feel Hun Tong’s business acumen.

When Two Eyes Island fell into Hun Tong’s hands, it had actually burst with enormous business potential, thereby building a bustling and magnificent landscape.

The fishman elder could never have accomplished that.

“You stole away our home, treated this as your family territory, depleted your heart’s blood to develop it, and in the end, it was you who destroyed it.”

The fishman elder at that moment felt how fickle and callous fate was.

He actually felt a bit of sympathy and pity for Hun Tong.

“Alas, I didn’t expect that this was how things would turn out in the end.”

When the fishman elder charged onto the Golden Flash, he assumed he would die in battle, and although he would be slain by Hun Tong’s hands, he would render a heavy toll in response and win precious time for his people to retreat.

Before the battle started, the old clan elder envisioned that he would kill Hun Tong, retake his homeland, wipe away his humiliation, and be please for the rest of his life.

He didn’t expect that in the end, it would be Hun Tong himself who took his life.

The cause of death was a pile of gold coins.

The Devil Gold Coins.

“The Sincerity God, one of the great lords of the Abyss, how formidable!”

At that moment, the old clan elder revered the master of those gold coins far more.

To be honest, before this, he didn’t have high hopes for these gold coins.

Because they were unreliable.

The gold coins had to be in the target’s hands, only then could they work.

They also couldn’t be covertly planted on the target; they had to be passed through transactions.

Through the transaction, the contract had to be made explicit.

Regardless of whether it was the old fishman elder or the naga priestess, none of them though the gold coins would affect Hun Tong.

They didn’t know that the imperial secret spy had been working with the local Feudal Lord Hun Tong for a long time.

Imperial secret spies often worked alone.

One of their duties was to supervise nobles of all types for the imperial household.

The fishmen only found traitors within the Vinegar Jar Pirates. After cruel punishment and torture, they found out they were working for an imperial secret spy.

Hit by inspiration, the naga priestess decided to use the Devil Gold Coins she had gathered.

Because this would let them beat the spy at their own game, they would pretend to not have noticed, and during the deal, they could specify the agreement details.

The naga priestess believed that the imperial secret spy organization was no exception to human corruption. Most of those gold coins would be embezzled and fall into the leader of the secret spies.

The code name for the imperial secret spy leader responsible for the waters around Two Eyes Island was “Shadow”.

She had been conspiring against “Shadow”.

Through a series of unexpected occurrences, the gold coins were misplaced.

“So, Shadow actually deceived Xi Dai Zi and never got the gold coins, rather they ended up with Feudal Lord Hun Tong?”

“It is also possible that they did a secret deal, leading to some of the gold coins to fall into Hun Tong’s hands.”

“But why does he have so many of the gold coins on him?”

The fishman elder was guessing.

He surmised a portion of the facts but couldn’t be certain.

The complete and complex truth exceeded his imagination.

Hun Tong lead the fishman elder to the main light cannon turret.

“Enemy detected entering the main light cannon.”

“Warning, warning!”

“An enemy has infiltrated the main light cannon turret, life level surveyed to be gold level!”

The alarm rang to no effect.

The fishman elder overtly walked in, for before him Captain Hun Tong was leaving the door open for the thief and showing the wolf into his home.

If there was a ship spirit, perhaps it would be crying already.

Hun Tong quickly took control of the Golden Flash.

Outside, numerous Flying Whirling Discs moved on a broad scale.

In the Vinegar Jar, Xi Dai Zi, Peng Ding Zi, and the rest were tense.

But a moment later, they were baffled to see the discs flying away from them.

Hun Tong moved the Flying Whirling Discs to the most important targets, the gold levels.

The naga priestess and Yan Ding were doing battle.

Er Gua Zi and Song Shou were still fighting, the port was a scattered mess around them.

“The first bombardment will be the most unexpected, and also the easiest to get a battle result.”

“Can you contact the naga priestess and Er Gua Zi? If they can coordinate with the bombardment, the battle result might be astonishing!”

“The main light cannon turret has been fired…twice, you could see its might from when it struck Qi You.”

Speaking of which, Hun Tong was looking at the firing records.

The first time it had locked onto Qi You.

But the second time, he was busying fighting the fishman elder.

“The second cannon alignment was aimed at the deep sea.”

“Strange…it just annihilated a silver level fishman magician?”

“Huh, so as it turns out, there was a saint level fishman corpse, its extreme value along with the light network shelling being underway was why the main light cannon turret was fired.”

“That fishman magician was covertly transporting a saint level fishman corpse, but her camouflage magic suddenly failed midway.”

“Shouldn’t this be one of your true objectives? Was that large scale magic being used to look for that saint level corpse? What makes him so important?” Hun Tong asked.

The fishman elder was callous, “That doesn’t concern you, hurry up and open fire.”

“I can’t contact them.”

“You broke the communication device on me.”

The clan elder warily looked at Hun Tong.

He maintained his vigilance.

When he noticed the agreement was about to fail, he would step forward and finish off Hun Tong.

The Devil Gold Coins was divine power, Hun Tong couldn’t counter it, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t guard against it.

Because the Sincerity God was not the only god in the world.

He was just one of many gods.

The fishmen could use divine power, so too could Hun Tong.

Many godly blessings and constant divine spells could interfere and break the agreement’s power.

Hun Tong sighed, “Please believe me, I am earnestly and sincerely helping you deal with me.”

“I just want to understand all of the reasons, so I can utilize all factors to remove any potential impediments.”

Hun Tong said this while inputting the commands.

He was multitasking, and from the fishman’s point of view, really was doing everything he could.

However, just as he prepared to open fire, another alarm rang.

The content of this warning had changed, different from the one before.

“High energy reaction detected on the seafloor.”

“The vessel has been targeted.”

“Warning, the Golden Flash has been targeted.”

“Energy level detected is gold level, probability of 98% that it is a gold level cannon.”

“Current hull defense is weak, estimated probability of severe damage from this cannon is 47%, minor damage is 50%, and crashing is 3%.

“Recommend full speed evasion, recommend full speed evasion!”

Hun Tong suddenly turned pale, his heart jumping.
